  1. £55 lot 12 please Thanks >>>> Ian
  2. I suspect theres more to this than meets the eye, is this maybe a common aviary to several lofts and al birds enter through the same trap then fly to the respective lofts. This isnt just "any" aviary because obviously the birds always land there to enter the loft. No ones going to locate a pad on any aviary or even roof on the off chance a bird might land there.
  3. Surely the rule states the pads must be within the confines of the loft, how much clearer does it need to be.
  4. Lot 61 £60 please updated mb
  5. Lot 61 £50 updated mb
  6. I'm sure the Arklesses at Brotton flew well with Jacob Van Hoppe birds. although again a while back.
  7. Some of us mere mortals have to work as well as see to the birds, go to the lofts lunch time , feed, give 5 minutes for a drink and now throw the water out, totally pixxed off lol.

  9. I wanted to use sputniks myself kirky, i think they were outlawed because the authorities thought we would put the sensors under the top board which is the landing board,i think theyre fine under the base board but unfortunately i dont make the rules.
  10. I've never seen an ETS pad under the landing board, a bit common sense is required and the rules state the pad (not the bird) must be within the confines (means inside) the boundaries of the loft, the bob wires and trapping are red herrings, theres no requirement for anyone, anywhere, whether clock or ETS, to have bob wires or to trap birds. Standard Sputniks arent permitted so in my humble opinion the ETS trap should be on the inside with the landing board(without pads) should be on the outside. This has been debated at length a dozen times on all forums.
  11. You dont need bobs at the front steve but the rv trap goes inside the loft, not on the front, the pads are then within the confines of the loft. Only the landing board goes outside.
  12. I use the RV trap.
  13. 4 or similar, at least those i've seen.
  14. it could but a little seed placed in the tunnel will attract them far enough in to register, i usually find that once they enter the tunnel or trap hey dont turn back, i race widowhood so the hens are penned up, i have my bobs tied back on race days till most are home.
  15. That would be the alternative if the bobs at the back were ever ruled against, take them off altogether
