    HELP NEEDED

i will help also will get my dad to help and try to get some friends to help as well
  2. some may think their nice but i can't see the beauty in them. not like in the show racer classes this is probably where i like looking at fancy birds the most
  3. i change my easibed after the first 28 days of weaning cos by then most of young bird team are on the perches after that the perches get scraped everyday and the easi bed is down for the next few months
  4. probably try a one loft race kids can choose name and such like everyone happy
  5. its how my dad taught me no sentiment pigeons are there to be raced so race them hard if there any good they will come no matter what the distance (by the way my father has beat me many a time with birds i have bred him)
  6. hopefully we should not have a problem if we decide to fly north road but then it is not up to me but all the members who fly in my club just hope we can decide if we only fly 180 mls or if we want to fly the 500 mls from lerwick
  7. rose its like you say kids will go where there mates are but it is up to us to try and bring some back and try to teach them about what is really important that is why'm trying to get my kids birds back on track
  8. i actually love jack duckworths character but it plays no part in the actual racing of pigeon's that in the number of years i actually watched it he never rang any youngbirds or never raced any pigeons
  9. its not you ME its the choice of the fancier for yearlings its go to the first water race the best from the first go to the second after that it is the main event SAINTES at 512 miles only ever sent yearlings once never scored in yearling season but came back at the 2yr old stage sent 4 got 1st and 2nd club also 17th and 30th fed still got birds in loft after 4 seasons
  10. hello rose thats why i'm trying to get my children involved i got everything to make them want to get into racing pigeons but one thing i cant give them is the passion that is the only thing they need to get for themselves
  11. sorry ME but my yearlings have no choice they either go across the channel or they are disposed of no sentiments on how they raced as youngbirds as it is the real deal now , but they are only raced between 260 and 360 miles after that the more experienced birds go
  12. must apologise but my friend only won class 30 not class 31 as well but on another note congratulations to john wheatcroft for winning class 32 well done (chris gilliver class 30 from swadlincote well done )got some birds off him for future so we shall see??
  13. will have to see if our club has any problems flying north road then wont we , i personally cant see a problem but you get some that do
  14. like i already said roundabout hens are much more willing than the cocks
  15. probably think that every fed is in the same boat after all the restrictions on racing last season just hope it wont last
  16. his neighbour started the fire ,if my neighbour started a fire and put my birds at risk i would be well and truely peeved off sod his neighbour for now (BUT HOPE MAJORITY OK )just as long as mine had suffered no ill health
  17. you dont have to be old to enjoy what you enjoy doing as for the jack duckworth comment sod anybody that belittles what you enjoy doing if you enjoy it get on with it
  18. don't like bulging pectorals prefer them nice and supple
  19. agree with you silverwings nowadays it is more of an old mans game but i'm trying to get my kids involved by letting them each choose a youngbird and seeing which does best, last season my eldest daughter chose the best one she's 8 my other daughter 5 picked what i believe will be the best yearling hen while my son 7 chose one that carded one week and was gone the next my wife also chose one it was 3rd club one week lost following week but still got nestmate which carded twice i believe that if you try and make it a family thing that you will have members for the future , PS i wasn't allowed outside on a race day till i was about 7 but was still allowed in loft b4 that
  20. hope everything ok
