    Breeding

hi guys , ive been looking about at the various breeds of fancy doos , and i was wondering ?? ive got a pair of fantails and if i got say a pair of arc angels or nuns would they need to be kept seperate from the fantails to breed ,, would the keep to their own partners or interbreed ,,, sorry if this is a daft question
  14. not that i have ever ever done it , BUT ive heard of a guy round here who erm "relocated" a nusiance moggy , tin of tuna and a tattie sack 8)
  15. never say never mate but id have thought the same rules would apply the bird would kill and feed and if still hungry kill and feed again until fed up . it would then sit up somewhere till its crop emptied and it the kill digested,
  16. your bang on duncan, if any of my birds were an oz over they wernt intrested , very intresting behavour , ive never heard of a BOP making multipal kills in the wild, it happens in falconry as we trade the kill for a small scrap of food thus keeping the bird hungry to hunt again
  17. WOW those are fantastic looking birds,,, do these types fly free ?? where do you get them and at what cost??
  18. congratulations
  19. sent you an email duncan , thanks
  20. hi guys , ive just sold my falcon , and now have a shed that is 3m x 3m x 3m with a 2m x2m x 2m avairy attached , what kind of stocking levels would you advise and give me some ideas of fancy doos that i could keep, id like free flying colourfull types but that would stay close to home brian
  21. the guy turned up today to collect cash :'( ;D
  22. pretty much duncan ,, depends on condtion of the raptor , ie low in weight and the level of the frounce , its a fungal infection that pigions get from eating grain ,it looks like cotton wool on the throat of the raptor
  23. i have only ever taken legal quarry spieces with my birds , ie rabbits , crows duck and pheasant, indeed it is not advisable to allow your bird to eat pigion as they carry a harmless condtion (to the pigion that is ) called frounce ,but it is lethal to raptors any how after my illness i plan to give up BOP and keep fancy doos
  24. soz sammy :X
  25. think i am mate . intrested in a pere/saker ?? swap you for doos
