my friends just phoned me and said that all canary shows are off till january defra must know that the canary shows are all finished by then.the north of england show which is the biggest one in the country have paid 600pound for the hall up till now they are not going to get there money back,if they dont get there money back that will be the end of the north of england shows.as they rely on all moneys from birdage raffles ect to keep them going.2 years ago in just about killed off the fife fancy canary club in scotland,when they lay there money out for shows also having to send scheduals out for all members and the printing of them takes nearly all the funds,they dont get compensation like the farmers,as everything is run on a shoe string billy
