  4. A wee example of my stock.

Another Ogilvie hen. She is breeding well including 2nd club 7th section and 19th open Lanarkshire fed, grand dam to gold ring winner in Glasgow fed and dam of 83rd ace pigeon at the Golden Race from over 5000 birds that started the series. She is full sister of The Nail, sire of 2 x 1st feds.
She's with a son of Dileas (2nd ace at the Great Derby, half brother to 12th ace at the Golden race) when paired to the dtr of Mighty White,  dam of 2 x 1st feds.
This ck is half brother to  3 x 1st feds and  bred 2 x 2nd feds and a 9th fed last year. Half siblings also bred 1st, 2nd, 7th and 10th fed last year

Maybe no perches ? Or maybe no boxs just perches? Loads of things seem to work. Noticing what works for what bird and when it's time to change motivation for the good thays the hard bit I find.

I have boxes that I can split into 3 perches and mess around with. Keeps them in their toes now and again I think.

  6. Thats 4 droping together,  took 1st, 2nd and 3rd Glasgow fed, the 4th had a problem with its ets ring and missed the result.  Not big birdage but they flew a fantastic race and it was great to get 4 on the drop, especially as they went

up with thousands of Lanarkshire doos. A hen trapped first that day followed by the cks.

    Anyone fly this system

I tried it but found the cocks looked  great flew great at home but just off the pace on a Saturday compared to the cocks that had had eggs or babies in the box

I've flown celibate for years now and it seems to work. Always do a wee something to motivate them after the first couple of races which gives them a wee lift. Cks and hens seem to do equally well on the whole.

  8. I've been racing celibate and I've found it pretty good. Keeps things simple, which seems to suit me! I mess around with the perches in the cks section for a bit of motivation. Hens are pretty much just left alone and they do fine.
