Yes Spencer you can ask by all means -
Here at present i would think i have at least 12 families of pigeon, some in higher volumes than others (example 16 De Dobbelaers but only one Van Loon cross x Janssen)
My reason for this is quite simple - If i wanted to only sell pigeons then bang its one or two familes and these will be suffice and a damn site easier to sell however i want to compete so am always looking for pigeons with performance either in racing or breeding to move what i have to another level.
Some people may feel one family or even two or three are plenty and thats all they want - I have got myself into the habit of looking at the racing or breeding results, location, birdage before i look at the pedigree - Maybe this wont work but its a gamble i am more than willing to take.
The strain name is a secondary source of benefit to me which is why quite often when loading birds into my Loft software i click the strain name 'Heinz 57' rather than Bischarrt, Van den Bosche or Van de rhee.
