how come in some places that do not have all the drugs they no not have all the problems that get posted up all the time on forums.

if birds are not sick no need for medicine. every one is a vet if you read some of the stuff that gets posted up. poor loft poor birds poor management some top pigeon men do not know much about medicine and they do not want know they only want the very best birds in there lofts birds that fly at the top of the race every week and birds that never get sick you can not make poor birds good birds by using drugs every week. any bird can be sick once in its life but when you have to help it all the time they need killing. i want birds that do not get stressed very easy and do not need any thing more to keep them healthy. i do not think pigeon forums are the place to talk about drugs all the time but that's all you see every week.

You are right mick they are some top flyers that will never hit the headlines but they only sent small numbers but they do not have websites to sell there birds as they are racing men. i have looked at lots of results and when you look at some flyer that sent 50 plus birds and and they have one in the top 10 when little old man that sends 5-6 takes 2 5 6 8 9 every week. you have to look at the results as they tell all not the hype that is in the papers. look for the little flyer that wins lots with small team in a big club in a strong area.

if you put some peanuts and some barley in a cocks nest box which one will he take first? they take the peanuts but are they lacking anything that the peanut gives no he just like the peanuts better than the barley. cocks will fight you for peanuts if you train them to lol but will he fight you the same for barley no.

I have talk to Owen about all sorts of things to do with pigeons and the thing that comes up is good loft good birds good health if one is missing then you will not be a winner. if any one can get any prices for malted barley (not malting ) can they pm me cheers but must be the very best stuff.

i feel sorry for the birds that the bloke you are talking about he was doing them more harm than good i do think you have to look at the pro's and the con's when you give any thing to the birds. a little is good but lots is poison.

i do think bad bugs in the gut is the reason for wet dropping how many have used strike after having bad dropping.

i have fresh grit minerals and pick stone for the birds every day how come no one makes a song and dance about them ? they cost very little and they take up lots of room. but they are the best thing a bird needs every day.

i was told a story about a bird that was called tape worm this pigeon had very wet droppings all the time but it was a big winner when they fix the problem.

my birds do not drink a lot of water since i stopped using all the supplements even when it has been very hot.

i use a block in there box just tell them to do it in one spot and stop stepping in lol. they do like to stand on the block most of the time or lay down on top of it.

not sure why he lost him but trying so many things to try his droppings up can make the bird dehydrate that's what could have happened.

As most have read that some off the very good flyer only have one corn mix to breed and fly on. I have seen a big improvement in my birds dropping since i have stop giving what we are told to by the company's that say this is the best stuff or this wonder stuff what rubbish it all is. Good corn and natural products and i will not use any thing else any more. Drugs are for sick pigeons and sick pigeons i do not want so for me kill the sick one. if my birds are not sick am not going to give them some thing they do not need be cos some vet says they need it only to line there pockets. If birds are so fit and so healthy they do not get stressed so easy so they do not get sick giving them drugs every week will only stress them. i do think the flyer is the key to winning pigeons as he is the one in control of the loft the food the water the training and every thing that come with racing pigeons.

i only feed once a day in the winter but i feed alot of barley but it must be the very best you can get or if you can get it malted barley that's better. and i feed till they stop eating the barley then food away.

Please do not turn this tread in to just jokes. I do think you can see how the inside of your birds are by looking at the droppings and i do like to see nice and pink skin. To some its just shxx but to me it tells me a story.

two years ago they was wet and green like most. but i had a long think what i was trying to get from my birds then i looked at all the stuff that i was trying to give them. i never get my birds right and the loft was not right so i had to do some thing. They is so much that gets posted up that i give this and its makes them win or some one else gives there birds some this and that. if the birds need all of that stuff they will never stay winners for long as some thing soon knocks there birds off. i do not think you can go far wrong if you stick to natural products as they will do little harm.

picture from my hens section i have put most supplements in the bin as i do not think they help. they get lots of grit and minerals and pick stone every day but i do not give the black mineral as i do think it makes them drink 2 much water. i am feeding a very high barley in my mix so birds do not get fat as i do not think its good to be fat for them.

i allways look at the droppings of pictures when members post pictures up and some times i see very wet and green droppings i think some thing is not right in there loft. i have been playing with my loft to get more clean air in and old air out but not to move it 2 fast and that's taken lots off time.

What are you birds droppings like this time of year. the pictures are from my stock loft and race loft.

They do look nice but you can go to Holland and pick 6 baby's up from some one that races very well for the same price. they allways look better when they are winning i have seen pigeons that are so ugly that it makes you sick looking at them but when they start to bring the prices in they turn in to show birds in your eye's. it's what's in side them what makes the pigeon. you pay your money and take your chance but you do not have to spend lots if you look in the right places.
