Raptor problems !

Personally I would never tolerate or even want o breed or race a bird with any wrong traits , it's bad enought trying to get near perfect types to score at the distance , doesn't mean it won't be a bad bird but, but breeding a hut fll of fancy colours also had its drawbacks , I suppose that's the difference between us bak door fanciers ,and master strain makers they have very high standards ,Stan biss ,alf baker , Alfred Bennett to name afew come to mind and recently mr and mrs Elliot , onwards and upwards ,😳

Ayrshire at Dumfries , it's been a few yrs since they have tried its route ,here's hoping that with a little bit of east the birds are going to make light work of it , fingers crossed nice morning at westkilbride .,all the best ayrshire

In all my years as a fancier in Ayrshire , never have seen so much profesional , dedicated , willingness for this federation for moving forward in such capable hands as these fanciers that dedicate there time organising this sale ,and from every corner of Britain and Ireland , fanciers of extreme quality in abundance giving not genoursly , but allowing us all access to these superbly bred birds at there disposal , on behalf myself and many others you are people that keep this sport of ours so great , well done !!!

Could not help noticing how the ardeer club seems to be dominating the federation breeder buyer and nearly 10 of the top positions out of the twenty taken by there members , whatever is week in the fed result , great flying and picking , well done to all , when all seems to going doom and gloom this club sets the bar ,keep it up !!

All fanciers everywhere get there turn ,some more than others we all have a commitment to enjoy and respect each other win or lose ! Especially when things ate going wrong ,kind words enjoy and lets all try and work it out carry on !!

Ur frustration is wide spread I have listened to it all ,we must talk and not argue ! Dialog the only way ur wright about the types birds there isn't enough of the right ones any more ,I could take you to a few fanciers with this type and are still at the top of there game ! They could fly any route , but sadly that's not the way it is anymore we must strive to keep bread and butter fanciers in the game ,

Myself and many others would not like to get involved in a blame culture ,but rather look at all options , wether it be east or west ,no use blaming anybody ,it was passed and was duly raced with dire consequences ,can't see this being the norm !!

You must be commended in your efforts for these birds and fanciers, well done!!

Ayrshire fed having problems with the returns this year , they are hoping to turn the race programme for youngsters and go east there will be a minority of fanciers who will welcome this for advantage but never the less we must all see the bigger picture and hope it works , we can't overlook that we have some bad races to from this direction but overall not as bad ,let the majority decide ,we must let sense prevail !!

Speaking to fancier from Hawick in all the years he's kept birds he had never had so many Ayrshire and Lanarkshire strays at his place,we are flying west route and they are over there strange ?

No11 unprepared birds not fully fit and experienced eg .latebreds!!!!

Every year in this great sport of ours the names don't change much of at the top of the sheet they are setting the standard for us all !!!

Feel free to add to the list , my top ten thoughts on the well fair of our birds for what it is worth! 1.bad stock 2.badly reared 3.not the bird for your area 4.unconditioned 5.bad housing 6.not fed correctly 7.lack of correct , salts ,minerals ,clean water 8.proper check on moult before sending,especially young ! 9.proper training,regime 10.bond with birds These and plenty more are in my thoughts for the safe return of our birds before we get to any of the external problems ,feel free to add !before they get in basket .
