Happy Birthday DOVEScot, thanks to Valiant
Cabin Boy replied to Cabin Boy's topic in Introductions & Member Messages
Thanks all I will let him know, he is sleepling off his snack in front of the television ;D Lewis -
Thanks to Valiant for a great day out, he took me, DOVEScot and Chickadee and his family out for a meal to celebrate DOVEScot's birthday at the Lomond Tavern in Falkland. The band played happy birthday while they brought in his second sweet with candles on it, greedy old git ate all his dinner, my chips, mums chips and two puddings. Looks like the £50 bet is safe Valiant ;)

David has been emailing the webmaster and I sent him a Pm on behalf of David Lewis
-
David realises that they are busy people but he said this has been since the 18th of March and the webmaster emailed David and said he would deal with it in a couple of days, that was on the 6th of April. David was suspended for no reason, prior to the 18th of march, David cannot access his account so he has sent emails to mealybar@pigeonbasics.com, 11 in total, that is why we were wondering if the webmaster was on holiday Lewis
-
Yes they are still here

:X :X :X ;D

What about old DOVEScot
-
They are at the lofts just now, I will ask when they come in
-
David appreciates that but this has been going on since the before the 18th of March when his account was suspended for no reason and the webmaster said then that he would deal with it in the next couple of days, I have even sent him a private message regarding this but as yet no reply and David has emailed him as well Lewis
-
They are doing well, we are all looking forward to the racing and I am starting to getting interested again, even Duncan(the younger one) is getting involved
-
Does any of the admin team know if the webmaster is on holiday as David is still waiting on his account being re-validated Lewis
-
David got an reply from the webmaster on the 13th of April saying he would sort it, his account was suspended on the 18th of March for no apparent reason so I am sure he would appreciate any help or explanation Lewis
-
The webmaster told Pigeon Dan he would deal with his account problem in a couple of days but that was on the 13th of April, despite further emails on the issue no reply as yet Lewis

Cabin Boy replied to chrisbonnie's topic in Lofts, Fixtures & Fittings

Newbie Dovecote questions from Canada
Cabin Boy replied to klorinth's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
Salmonella can be transferred from anything to anything that can harbour salmonella, is a carrier such as a crow or a seagull lands on your loft and fouls it you have a chance although slight of your pigeons contracting salmonella. If your chickens are kept in good health they are safe as your pigeons in fact their are breeds of chickens that are immune to salmonella, you are more likely to get salmonella from pigeons than from chickens according to the old man who has kept them together for years, he only once had problems 4 years ago and it was from a pigeon he bought from another well known fancier that turned out to be a carrier. The carrier survived while all the others contracted it and either died or had to be euthanized, the whole loft had to be culled and the loft was torched, never had any problem since as we now isolate and quarantine all birds -

Pigeons can be trained to colours, we were at a display once where they were taught to do different things depending on the colour of the flag/paddle they displayed -
