  1. ours were up from messac at 7.00. got 22/23 and doing 1884 for 277 miles (clocked at 11.19). doesn't look like there was a problem in france or the channel at that point.
  2. sorry - the above time should read 11.18.
  3. they will be motoring that's for sure. ours were at messac as well today. 277 miles to us (just north of london). They were up at 7am and we timed at 1.18 for a velocity of 1884. Had 2 together as well. There will be hundreds on the day in scotland I should think. Good Luck.
  4. sending 6 to BICC Tours.
  5. hahaha pigeons can't carry bird flu, and you certainly won't get a cold from handling it.
  6. why use racepoints where the birds have to be liberated before 9am?
  7. I take it we are not to expect an early verifications result tonight?
  8. party like its 1699.
  9. i would pick and choose their races carefully. have them trained with your others, so that if a good weekend's weather is predicted then a couple of decent races will educate them well. If you can't get them in the first few races there will be a few dropbacks later in the season. Just a thought.
  10. are 2 ets rung pigeons allowed to be timed in at the exact same time? surely if they are then there is a hint of discrimination against those non-ets fanciers who are not allowed to put 2 rubbers in one thimble. I take it that this is the issue that raised this topic in the meetings.
  11. watch they don't get scalped if they are left on the floor though - that's if u have other old birds in the section.
  12. looks like a light north easterly - not good. go on www.xcweather.co.uk excellent site
  13. oh yea im sending 6 old hens as well
  14. sending 10 darkness pigeons - 5 of them will be ring noms.
  15. bright red
  16. I take it that the 2 week rule has also been rescinded? Otherwise it will be silly sending to Guernsey one week then not being able to send them back the next, especially if its a blow home and you live in the beautiful south.
  17. great results. well done. good luck for the rest of the season.
  18. will the bicc have an inland youngbird race if channel racing is not permitted? the lsecc are going to exeter and yelverton and the bbc are going to sennen cove.
  19. don't think so - go on their website and click results and when birds are verified they are quickly put on a provisional result. so as birds arrive they will appear on your screen - much like the nfc does.
  20. anyone heard if the bbc are up at palamos? nfc heldover at tarbes.
  21. this peterpau is wise man. i reckon the nfc and bbc will go for afternoon libs to miss the rain in the channel forecast for this evening. Either that or they will be in the baskets for another week.
  22. i hope the bbc havent moved to san sebastian. can't be doing with more sprint racing.
