  1. Ive got a big team booked but theyve all gone wrong in the feather so i'm not sure now. Also a North wind due so it will be a tough one. Think I will select a smaller team than ive paid for - an expensive mistake me thinks :B
  2. I wouldnt have been able to read it 6 months ago but being a member of pigeon web site forums has given me lots of practice :D
  3. If they are flying for 2 hours per day I would suggest they have no medical problems. Just because they are behind doesnt mean they are ill. The two main ways to motivate babies is the sliding door method or pair them up. I like them feeding 7 day babies
  4. I dont believe blue smarties or wheatgerm oil will make any difference. When they are mature enough to pair they will. Even then if they are young hens good chance the first eggs will be no good. If it were me i would wait till next year
  5. 10 to 12 days, before they start making soft food. Wouldnt do it to often though its not great for the hen
  6. A few years back I had 2 sections next to each other 16 sprints cocks one section and 8 distance cocks in the other. Treated EXACTLY the same. Let out together fed the same, identical. Up to 250 miles I had nearly all the sprint pigeons home first winning the fed 5 times over 300 miles the distance cocks came winning many scottish positions. So I believe its all in the breeding and not the system - for my birds/system anyway!!
  7. 2 pair of Mardon Van Reets (06 Latebreds) hardly tried - winners throughout pedigree. 2 old Soontjen cocks (98 and 01) from early Sheader stock - sires of fed winners etc
  8. Thames North at Fareham 83 miles Waste of time in this wind!
  9. Could possibly be in a situation like me, where I have lost interest in sprint racing and want to concentrate more on my long distance stock and so will be looking to let go some sprint stock still breeding winners
