sapper756 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Final update on Andy as today he was up at the crack of dawn to go and meet with his surgeon at RIE. Surgeon could not be happier with him. He was delighted to see him walk in and be sat in front of him. He didn’t think it was going to happen because of the state he was in when they first met that night. Heart in normal rhythm, ECG much improved with no pacemaker required, chest X-ray clear no collections of fluid at the base of his lungs and he require need drains. He did say is at high risk of endocarditis recurrence due to the dialysis line straight into one of the chambers, just need to remain vigilant and hopefully catch early if infection does get in. I am very proud of how well Superman has done, I have kept my promise to be right beside him and kicking his arse the whole way, today I fell like that part of my job is done and I can maybe go back to being his wife instead of drill sergeant. Take a bow Mr Burgess you beat the odds and have done a fantastic job of entertaining us along the way with your endless moaning, hallucinations and delirium and I’m glad you can’t remember very much about the whole thing 💪🏼❤️
