Alex i beg to differ with what you are saying mucker, dont you have to be qualified to deal with gas, dont you have to have a gas safe ID card to prove to the person you are qualified. As for saying competent person can doo this, also checking there ID card will give you more peace of mind.

I havent had lights in ma huts ever Brian, so a couldnt say if it makes any difference to the birds or not mate,the birds always seem to get a good moult, JMO. But thats all i doo is change the feeding times when am at home, and works in well with the wifes work. A light in the sheddy is handy when youve got ti go and get some more beer though,

No lights in lofts, just change the time of feeding, dont wont to disturb birds during moult.
