Thunderboult, thanks for your reply, i have'nt had even one reported, not a single one, i always without fail if i get a stray in do my utmost to get in touch then get it back to it's owner, it seems like more and more fanciers maybe find this too much trouble these days jmo.

    Hawks

I agree jimmy, it's got to effect them mentally, getting a scare like that must put them back no end, who's to say some are never the same again ? once spooked never forgotten probably.
  7. None...got wiped out last week by a hawk, but good luck to all who are sending.

Although we keep birds, some very valuable we are not on the list as far as the rspb are concerned, the time and all the rest that goes with keeping pigeons means nothing at all to them.

When is something going to be done about the hawk problem ? and yes i am talking from personal expierience having lost 18/20 well trained yb/s in one toss last week, something has to be done to get the message across, would any other sport take a back seat and accept it as we do ?, gutted about these do-gooders at the rspb and there consistant going on that hawks need protecting !!! What about our pigeons ????? Celtic
  10. don't worry about it jimmy , as i already said i asked you to take the birds so it's definetly not your fault, back to the drawing board for the time being .... Celtic

  20. Lothians dry, slight wind and overcast.
  21. No need to put them up in that weather, what was the controller trying to prove ?
  22. Have to agree with Jimmy, i don't think they choose to get lost intentionally, many's a yb probably just tired itself out trying to get home and ended up being further rather than nearer to it's home loft.
  23. It's raining in the lothians at the moment, and very overcast, could be on for the day.
  24. How far is Ridsdale jimmy approx ?
