My daughter was stranded at work today, but they put her up in a local hotel for the night.

Due to the forecast severity of the weather in the Gloucester area the decision has been taken to close the office at 1pm today and to remain closed all day tomorrow. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but the safety of our staff is paramount. A number of staff live some distance from the office and they need to be able to reach home before the snow starts in earnest. Ian Evans General Manager

We are hoping the likes of David Liddle, etc will find out and therefore not attempt to travel. Ian also mentioned your predicament and wanted to ensure the safety of all the Delegates. The office is closed as far as I am aware, so Linda is not in the position to contact anyone.

The SHU Statutory Meeting to be held in the Alona Hotel, Strathclyde Park on Sunday 4th March at 13.00 has been cancelled due to the adverse weather. It will be re-scheduled and letters will be posted to all Delegates once organised. Please pass on this information to ensure all Delegates are aware to prevent any attempted travel.
