Man Utd v Schalke Red Devils set their sights on securing final date with Barca http://img.skysports.com/11/04/496x259/Raul-JiSung-Park-Manchester-United-Champions_2590029.jpg Manchester United will be looking to book a Wembley date with Barcelona when they welcome Schalke to Old Trafford on Wednesday. The Red Devils hold a commanding 2-0 lead from the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final and know a final berth is theirs for the taking. Barca await the victors in European football's showpiece event, with the Catalan giants having disposed of arch-rivals Real Madrid in their last-four encounter

Barcelona v Madrid Spanish giants aim to let their feet do the talking at Camp Nou http://img.skysports.com/11/04/218x298/Lionel-Messi-Real-Madrid-Barcelona-Champions-_2590430.jpg Barcelona and Real Madrid will both be looking to restore their reputations as they meet for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night. The match at the Camp Nou is the fourth 'El Clasico' in 18 days and follows last Wednesday's ill-tempered first leg at the Bernabeu. Real coach Jose Mourinho and Barca boss Pep Guardiola were involved in a war of words in the build-up, and an eagerly-anticipated match was marred by numerous flashpoints on and off the field, while the aftermath has been even worse, with bickering, claims and counter-claims tarnishing the image of two proud clubs. Mourinho has emerged with the least credit, with his comments showing his desperation after Barca won 2-0 to put one foot in the final, held at Wembley on 28th May. Mourinho was sent from the technical area for complaining about the second-half dismissal of defender Pepe and, after the game, he claimed there is a refereeing conspiracy in favour of Barca. Real lodged an official complaint with Uefa about the behaviour of Barca players during the first leg, and in turn, the Catalan club lodged a complaint over Mourinho's comments while considering legal action against the Portuguese boss. And Barca captain Xavi has now criticised Real for their manipulation of the Bernabeu pitch both last Wednesday and prior to their league game on 16th April.http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/scotland.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/scotland.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/scotland.gif

http://img.skysports.com/11/05/660x350/John-Higgins-World-Championship-trophy_2592262.jpg John Higgins lifted a fourth Betfred.com World Snooker Championship after completing an 18-15 victory over Judd Trump. The Scot was three frames behind heading into the final day of the tournament but edged ahead on Monday afternoon before going clear in the evening at the Crucible. Trump, who has become an instant star after his spectacular run to the final, had led 12-9 at one stage but a missed blue in the 22nd frame proved to be a turning point. The 21-year-old had been sinking long-range balls with ease for much of the fortnight but his potting let him down on the final day. Higgins went into the final session 13-12 ahead and carried over his momentum from the afternoon to win his fifth frame on the bounce after a break of 63http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/scotland.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/scotland.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/scotland.gif

Canaries clinch promotion Canaries hit the big time after Fratton Park victory http://img.skysports.com/11/05/496x259/Portsmouth-v-Norwich-Paul-Lambert-celeb_2592259.jpg http://img.skysports.com/11/05/496x259/NorwichPromotionCelebration_2592261.jpg Simeon Jackson fired Norwich back into the Premier League as his goal clinched a promotion-winning 1-0 victory at Portsmouth on Monday night. Third-placed Cardiff's shock defeat at home to Middlesbrough earlier that evening had left the door wide open for Paul Lambert's men and in-form Jackson's second-half strike was enough to sink stubborn Pompey at Fratton Parkhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif as the Canaries grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
