Personally, when the information comes up informing us why a specific charity sale is being held. I thank god that I am not personally suffering from the illness/conditions that the recipients of such sales are having to cope/live with, also the fact that I am at home with my family and friends, and not in a war zone, putting my life on the line on a daily basis. And it is because of this self reflection, that I decide for a very little cost to myself, I will offer a youngster or often a pair of youngsters, for such great causes. If this is the least I can do,, then I am happy to do it. This is simply my opinion, and my explanation as to why I believe supporting charity sales is important, Heaven forbid, if the day comes that any one of us or our precious family members, need funds or support to help us/them through difficult times. The site has supported quite a few charities already this year, all of which have been for good causes. How ever, we all have the choice as to whether we donate to, or bid/buy from these charity sales. I know it must be difficult for the site owners to turn down people when they approach them, and request a charity sale be considered, this is some thing I personally would not like to have to say yes/no to. Maybe in future the site could consider supporting a certain number of charity sales per year, and stick to this. ie, one every quarter, which would mean that through the year the site would support a maximum of 4 sales. JMO This would only be for those sales that the site requests donations of birds. JMO The site prides its self on the charities it has helped in the past and the generosity of it,s members, long may this continue! JMO
