Firstly, I would like to say WELL DONE to W. Donnachie on an excellent result in the semi-final and to the owners of the other five birds that have qualified for the final as.well in a very tough race. 925 birds libbed at 8.30am and only 229 home on the day and a total up till now the 3rd day of 304 birds. Race distance 230km = 143 miles. Any one like myself who watched the live stream could see the effort of the birds as many "CRASHED LANDED" onto landing board and crawled through the trap. Secondly, I want as LHS Club Secretery and personnel friend of Craig Wright congratulate him on getting two birds home on the day and hence two into the final. 29th March. These two birds are nest mates with identical pedigrees. There bloodline is middle to long distance so to make it to final against top sprinters is amazing. Also something very uncanny. In the points race averages they sit 130th and 131st after 22 races amassing over 64000 points and only 11 points separating the pair. IDENTICAL TWINS I think. lol. All the best for all six scottish birds in final but unashamedly im rooting for TAILSPIN and TARTAN TINKER. C'MON !!!!!!

On behalf of all members of the club I wish to thank Ms Ann Haxton landlady and her staff of the Village Inn, Cardenden for providing an excellent hot buffet along with first class service during our annual presentation dance. A special mention also to our entertainer for the evening, Pamela, top vocalist, for a brilliant evening which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Can't recommend her too highly. Furthermore, I want to thank all members, guests and local businesses for their kind prize donations to our raffle which raised just over £400 towards club funds.
