well i suppose its a bit like this if you took a tin of beans one shops own brand and a tin of heinz both contain harricott beans in tomatoe sauce both have a tin ones branded other a cheaper alternative but the same beans are used , and if probably removed the labels and tried both they would be very little difference , i read somewhere the belgians actualy import our maples and tic beans and were just buying them back realy
i accept what you say about checking the dropping yourself by using a microscope , however do you have the facilitys to grow these bacterias and parasites and see which medicine is most effective ? most presciption medicines given are spectrum specific and are given out because whatever ailment responded best to it , you can tell what it is by a microscope but you cant treat it as effectively as a vet with laboratry facilities
Northern Hygene will send a kit out and a complete test costs £30 and there a Defra accredited vet and specalise in Avian health

quality comes from how its harvested and allowed to dry ectra wheat barley if get damp will mould if you eat and few bits of wheat and barley you can taste if it has mould and you can usualy tell by the colour of its quality , peas and pluses can wrinkle and split and also squash but if stored and dried correctly you can determine the quality of it quite simple realy its not put in a spinner and polished or died to gain colour to look like something its not , most top brands are good quality corn and yes i have used them and do use them for racing but like i said i have won on corn ive mixed myself and also on branded corn if i have the room i have no bother mixing it myself but guess if limited room pre made mixes are easier but you pay more for it
cheap doesnt mean theres no quality i beat 4 Scarborough clubs from Jouey Le Chatel using my own mixed farm corn not another bird for 5 minutes and i lost 5 minutes trapping , kirky watched mine been trapped traveled up road to his mates and watch the other club winner been clocked
