widowhood, r ,,can understand you perfectly,, had it myself so i understand what your saying ;D ;D hope your in a better mood today ;D ;D dont worry my freind we all get like that at times, carry on winning and dont worry about any of them, wish you luck ,j w ;D ;D
  7. great feed back and very interesting,, my own veiws are much the same as above, lewisis hen scored[ i think] 6 times over 500 miles with 3 races b4 hand, but raced right out as yb, my own sir colin only had 3 or 4 races up to 280 miles, each time he scored, so basicly would say that the breeding has to be there, and they must still have the fuel for the job , and set up for the job in hand [easier said than done ]
  8. personally i would think if things went smoth and no more outbreaks[a big if] we would be ok ,,trying to look on the brightside,,its a long time to next year
  9. theres many genuine people sell pigeons , but theres as many who are not, just want to make a buck or two,, better getting pigeons from someone you know,or you can find out to be trusted, ive given pigeons away to fanciers, then they say their no good,, another fancier [exactly the same breeding ] ist 2cnd 380 miles,, a differant fancier 1st 360 miles , some of these birds are to go 550 miles next year, they may do nowt but on the other hand ,who knows, its a queer old game :)
  10. ive asked b4 but didnt get much of a reply,,,,,,anyone thats had prize winning pigeons from 5 to 600 miles,, how many races had the bird had, and at what distances :)
  11. not so very good, hope there were no one injured, but a big upheavel for a lot of people, lets hope they can get it under control

    WINNING

fairs fair, he was only asking a simple question ;D ;D ;D my opinion is this could easily be possible, its happened plenty times before, as we do get some queer races nowadays a person topped the fed having only 2 ,,,4 mile tosses last week ,,nowt so strange as pigeons ;D ;D ;D

  18. DID THE HAWK ATTACK HAPPEN AT THE LOFT N,W, NOVICE?
  19. hi madas ,,,is that a lump on the upper inside of beak?, difficult to tell in photo, but exellant photo, is this the only one showing this symtom?and how long has it been like this? lot of questions i know,, but would like to know through curiosity, apart from the beak, the birds face and head look well enough
  20. the thing with ybs are if you chase them off the roof they just land on a further, roof, you can make a catapult with light elastic , and fire chopped up potatoes, it can go a fair length, basicly its discourage them from the roofs and encourage [reward] them for landing on the loft
  21. cetainly hope things are improving now,,,were just not used to things like that in scot,
  22. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D you so and so ;D ;D ;D ;D,,,,whitemailed again ;D ;D ;D well i could always toss the matchstick ;D ;D ;D who ate the meat and who ate the gravy ;D
  23. congrats tony great result :)
  24. happy birthday bird man :) have a great day
  25. the losses have been horrendous, much more than "usual" and whatever it is, its getting worse year by year and its ybs just flying beteen 10 miles to 100 miles they should be able to make light work out of that,,ive seen them trying everything , batch training , differant time, training, freind of mine trained from 25 miles about 10 times , birds comming great but THEN bang 15 out of 39, on the same day which seemed good enough, most members had the same, so it does make you wonder, whats in the air or whats in the atmosphere,or even just WHAT. but theres deffinately something amiss , when pigeons cant use there homming ability, as they did years ago [even if they were late]
