Aberdeen fed back to Swalwell cricket club Saturday 5th September

Lanarkshire federation Alnwick 2 race 29/08/26 Centre section winner. Graham Bros of Carluke club Andy was delighted in winning the section and having 4 in the top 6 of the Open federation result. Andy hasn't been completely happy with his results over the last few races and so slightly adjusted his feed and stepped up the road training with apparent effect. His section winner is a mixture of Leo Herman x Merlin lines and he was pleased with the race having 31/32 home at time of report. TCCRPC liberated at 07.00 at Littlehampton in a fresh westerly wind. Nick reports they split into two large groups and cleared well parallel to each other in a westerly direction. Good luck everyone who has sent. Dave.

Copied from Facebook 31st August Good morning ladies and gents. Nick and the birds arrived on site at 1.45am watered and turned in. He reports it is beautiful in Littlehampton but very breezy. There is a line of heavy showers affecting me in Ditcheat and in Glastonbury through to Bridgewater. The rest of the club area and line of flight is clear with broken clouds and blue skies. These showers should move through by the time the birds arrive. So we are preparing to liberate at 7am. Confirmation to follow.

I have one very happy 14 year old winning his first club race, which also turned into second in the juniors. But as he also flys in the open result he was first in the Southern Fed and 11th owner in the SAHPA and 14th bird SAHPA. Also ending up with 5 from 5 with a couple of late ones this morning one being hawked. Can’t be prouder as he does all the work for them and is picking things up quickly. He does get some assistance from myself and grandfather. He does his bit at the club which is good to see. This is what it is all about as the joy he had getting the hen back yesterday is what it is all about. Thanks to all the people that have helped him out with information and support. Henry is already working out plans for next year with a few more birds to add to the new bigger loft.
