Guest strapper Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Good for you. How many races have you won with them? All the 3 hens above were bred by the Late Fred Cross from Wales. Fred was honest as the day is long. They are camiel Cardons. as i can vouch for these pigeons more than anyone possibly on this site (i was one of freds closest friends)regulary at each others house. fred had some of the finest looking birds there is...i remember him having several phone calls when i was there one day for 17 birds. and on his death bed fred told me and family i was to have the pick of the loft ...after his death i declined the heart felt offer and helped his son mike sell a lot of these fine birds. fred once topped the welsh fed many years a go when it had 26,000 birdage. he stopped racing a long time a go but kept the birds . he had i would say....over 100 cardons. as i mentioned them on this site,a few members had them adam was one of them, and adam had some of the best. best of luck adam m8 in selling them....paul.

Guest strapper Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 I've got a pair from Fred here Paul and they will be tested this year. Do you remember his old choc pied unrung cock? no phil m8, but he did have a few there over the years. anything i had from freds was free to me...a dear missed friend of mine. he had found happyness with a lovely woman called joan hadnt been together long before they had the bad news about freds illness....he was gone in no time. but he had some of the best looking feathered birds id seen...i know one top fancier had half a dozen off him...and then phoned for more after recieving the 1st lot. i have nothing of freds here now but did have a few pairs.
pjc Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 My best mate that died at Christmas went to Freds when he was getting rid of the birds, they brought a couple of pair and were gifted a couple. Its a shame Paul didn't get the chance to try them but whats now here will be tried/tested.

fletch Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 i have 3 young birds going to there first race saturday that are from a white hen of jac jac( wich is almost identical to the 07 hen he has for sale here) and a almost white cock from the paul rogers sale, They are 3 marvolous looking pigeons and i wont be suprised if they dont do the job over the course of the season as they giving me and dad all the right signs, So i would recommmend these birds TOP BLOKE selling aswell
pjc Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 I like the look of the youngsters here as well. Jenny (Pauls wife) will be over the moon to hear of the birds doing well. Phil
gangster Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 You will not get Camiel Cardons with pink beaks & bull Eyes We buy them direct from Carmiel &Geert well ray knight had them direct from camiel and some did have bull eyes, and ive seen a few of the late fred crosses and they were outstanding.....do you not think that camiel&geert have moved on with the family as in introducing new blood that over time reduce certain traits in families 2 be honest i doubt very mutch that there present day birds are 100% the same as those that fred/ray had....food for thought???
