kraftykev Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 well they were in a single flight togeter and how do you know the kirkpatrick farther if not a red cheq pied. With kirkpatricks you never know what your going to get. cheers kevin
kraftykev Posted August 31, 2009 Author Report Posted August 31, 2009 also you will find that the young birds granparents on one side are Blood red and red pied so there is red there
Guest cloudview Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 hi kev, looking at the sire,s pedigree it states off a dark grizzle , and a cheq pied , the sire is a cheq pied ,, yes there are reds back in the pedigree , but that makes no differense . there are colour charts somwhere explaining what colours you can get out of certain pairs even the sex on some of them , i may be wrong , if i am please accept my appolgies, iwas always lead to believe ,to breed a red at least one parent had to be red or mealy
