Tinkerbell Posted August 28, 2017 Report Posted August 28, 2017 Good evening to all in Scotland, what a weekend absolutely brilliant weather and a One Loft Race to match it, I would like to thank everyone from Scotland who entered our race in 2017 for sending us some quality pigeons because it was quality what came to the fore yesterday, the heat alone was immense let alone the North East Wind on the channel but they did it and have continued to come home in top condition all day to-day which has been witnessed by many and again to-day it has been extremely hot, the Irish did very well Mr Maurice O'Donnell won the 2 bird average with birds taking 4th & 6th positions so his birds were worthy of the crown, next Donnelly&Kirkwood won the Ace Pigeon with a son bred from the cock which won our race in 2016 bred from our very own Jos Van Olmen Golden Pair, I would like to say very well done to the following Scottish Syndicates Angus Orr & Son on winning 8th position and a cool £750, then Team Elthick who were 11th and won £500 also this syndicate were 93rd & 108th, Teddy Bear Lofts had a great result finishing 28th & 31st, the every consistent Kardale Lofts 29th, 60th & 132nd, Malcolmstone Syndicate 44th & 84th, William Hay 106th, and Woodfield Lofts 120th, A big congratulations to the following syndicates which were all there to have photo's etc taken by top photographer Chris Sutton, winning 1st Tadt, alias Tad Truszkowski from Melton Mowbray, winning 2nd place Odd Bods alias John Ellerby from Hull, winning 3rd Humber View Lofts alias Ronnie Niklin again from Hull, I think everyone who came to the final had a great day and witnessed one hell of a cracking pigeon race. All Prize and Pool monies will be paid out within 14 days which is how things should be done, we now have 151 birds home. 2018 Race..... I know this year is only just over but my phone is already ringing asking about entries for 2018, well the entry fee is £500 for a 3 bird team with all 3 birds being fully activated, the loft is going to be limited to 600 birds plus 20 ventures and 2 charity auction birds which we will explain about in due coarse, the entries will be on a first come first served basis with over 30 places already secured, if you wish to enter we need £100 deposit for each team or you can pay the amount in full.
