I pm'd the Webmaster yesterday morning about it, before I posted it in the evening, but as yet no reply

 

I will inform the RPA this morning to see what they can do, but doudt it

Coxy only has what I would describe a small holding loft/shed at the side of his parents house. I do not think he races birds etc, just uses it for his scams as there were no traps, nesting boxes etc, just some birds in it, mainly white

 

I intended sorting this out with coxy but nowhere to be seen, but short of his parents having me arrested 300 miles from home, I backed away to fight another day And there will be another day for Mr Crooxy;D

shadow. he had some birds from a good mate of mine. he gave them to coxy coz he came out with a sob story about his loft being burnt down with the loss of all his birds. we felt sorry for him and gave him some real good stock, but then found out that he sold them as pedigrees to somone and told them that the pedigrees were still with me and will be sending them as soon as i sent them to him, which we never said that there was peds with the birds.and we also found out that he never had a loft burnt down or he ever had a loft at all he just rip people of by coning birds of them and selling them on . so i and my mate were fooled by him and its made me very carefull now who i give birds to.

HI MARK, these were the birds he tried to sell to me, told me the pedigrees and prize cards were in th post for 4 fookin weeks!!!! > then he when i went round with the boys to his allotments, an old guy was there said he hadnt raced birds for years, was banned from racing, and if i found him to let him know as he had ripped this old guy off by selling his birds!! when i did eventually catch up with coxy, he broke down and said his lofts had burnt down and he had had a heart attack!! and wanted to start up again, and was sorry for the hassle he had caused!! so m being the nice helpfull person i am, offered to breed him 20 ybs for free all he had to do was come and collect them, so the time cam e for him to collect them, we arranged to meet half way as he said he was struggling to get down!! (what a muppet i am)) he nevr turned up, wouldnt answer his phone, he e-mailed me that night, saying he had dropped his phone down the bog, and would come the next day!!! never heard from him again!! till he cam back on here again, total conman and timewaister!!!

 

and yes it does make you think twice about trusting people on here :-/, i know the genuine ones i have dealt with before  

 

just a shame there is 1 or 2 scumbags in this sport.

Having read through many of the posts regarding this sorry matter. I will assist DoveScot and any other member in any way possible in taking this matter to the relevant authorities. However I cannot facilitate the witchhunt that seems to have persued. And as such I am asking for all members to please refrain from posting any personal contact details. Hounding the parents of Jamie is not going to help, and indeed only lowers ourselves to the level of the original 'crime'.

I fully appreciate what you say regarding his parents etc but surely he should be stopped accessing the site so other folk can fall victim, I nearly fell for it myself but smelled a rat, dont let this happen to soembody else.

 

This situation is similar to the Steve Nobel / Mackenzie situation and i believe he is now in a scottish nick somewhere.

The problem here is fraud, a criminal offence, and breach of contract under Sale of Goods Act and Trade Descriptions Act.  It's making a complaint to the Police and Local council Trading Standards that will solve this.

 

Agree with webmaster, 'hounding' the guy's parents just isn't on, lowers to same low level, and it is against the law too.

As I note a number of people have already stated. Banning a member isn't necessarily the best course of action. If you block access to a member account it is a two minute process to sign up again under another name. Thus the member is now 'underground' and this makes identification a whole lot harder. With regard to banning an IP address, sounds perfect however doesn't actually work due to the nature of the technology which I shall not go into here.

 

Making members aware of this (and previous) situations with a member, and then the community is able to 'track' this person and their future actions.

Plain stupid. Don't go to the expense of booking any overnight accommodations, you'll get it free courtesy of the local cop-shop, and if it happens on a Friday, they do a very basic room & board over the weekend.
