Annual MeetinÂg i The Lanarkshire Social Circle Flying Club itld their annual general meeting Âin the Masonic Hall, when Mr James L. MuÂir, the popular president’, occupied the chair, and there was a large turnout of the members. The s the premier pigeon Scotland, has made more rapid progress thÂan any in Scotland, and the membership hÂas now passed the fifty mark. The club wÂill - Hit the season with fully sixty meÂmbers, which, proves the club as the mosÂt popular and foremost of all ScottisÂh clubs. following race programme has beÂen fixed for the season:— u.d bird racesÂ, Gretna Green, Mav 13; Oxenholm May 20; Warrington, May 27; Stafford, Rugby, JuÂne 10; Oxford, June 17; feahsbury, JuneÂ30; Rennes and Nantes, with the Scottish National Flying Club; then back to SaliÂsbury, July 8. The averages right througÂh, to Rennes, including second Salsbury. Special will be given in all the races, and record amount of prize-money has beÂen guaranteed. The Social Circle Club is the only flying club which fix their prÂize-money before the commencement of the season. Mr John Blackwood, of BlackwoodÂ, was appointed as convoyer for ail raceÂs except the two races from France, The Âclub have now the finest set of silver tÂrophies for competition racing pigeon clÂnbs. The donors being:—Mr Alex. M‘LaughlÂan. Earbert, cup for best old bird averaÂge; Mr D. Tennant, Ratho, silver rose boÂwl for hardest race, old or young bird: ÂMr EJward Bradshaw, Manchester Fiying ClÂub, cup for first bird Salisbury race; MÂr S. W. Mcinnes, cup for old birds; and MÂr Tom Morgan has given a ',® silver tropÂhy for the best average for Oxford. SaliÂsburv, and Rennes. This will known as thÂe “Morgan Memorial Trophy.The winner wilÂl receive a small replica ot the handsomÂe silver, which easily tn® finest ÂScotland.
