Had birds out exercising tonight and when I called them in a stray dark grizzle hen entered the loft with them

On catching the bird it had no life ring or race ring on but was in wonderful condition

It had a smudged wing stamp phone number which the wife was able to read

Phoned the number and it belongs to a fancier in larne Northern Ireland

I am going to arrange to have the bird retuned

He was telling me it is 3 years old and was lost at St Malo

Then some lo life cuts the rings off

What enters people s heads that makes them do this ?

Agree 100% All birds regardless of age should be wingstamped it should be Law
