Guest Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Noticed nobody took up your second point Tammy, on convoyers licenses and pigeons. Confederation maybe not up to speed on the current legislation. Animal Health & Welfare Act states that no one can take charge of any animal in transit unless 'they are familiar [trained] in the welfare needs of that animal'. On the 'other' issue: when there's a governing body in place like you have for doctors, lawyers, accountants, company directors etc, a disqualification of membership stops you carrying out your profession throughout the UK. For example a Social Worker 'disbarred' in Scotland can't work anywhere in the UK. Confederation would be the same, and 'discovery' of members disqualified by one Union had joined another would mean instant disqualification from there too. As always there's a get out though: form a new Union. ;D The New Democratic Union of Disqualified Fanciers. Ranked alongside Road & Other Tax Evaders Association, The Thieves Guild, The Jaywalkers Society, Rules-R-Not-Us Brigade etc. ;D
fifestay Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 OK SEAN, I see what you mean lets say someone tampered with their Clock and cheated in your Union and was banned for say 10 years .....would you be happy that person could go to another Union up the Road and fly
sj irving jnr Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 who have gretna got the mora chris?
me Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 lETS BE HONEST THE SHU ONLY BANNED SOME GUYS BECAUSE THEY HAD THERE NOSES PUT OUT OF JOINT WHEN THEY LEFT TO JOIN THE RPRA. ITS NOT THAT LONG AGO YTAMMY OU WERE BEING HAULED UP BEFORE SOME OF THESE GUYS BECAUSE OF YOUR POSTS ON HERE AND ITS OBVIOUS YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LUCKY YOU WERE TO GET OUT OF THAT SITUATION AND IF YOU FOLLOW YOUR LOGIC IF YOU HAD BEEN BANNED YOU WOULD BE BANNED FROM PIGEONS FULL STOP.
Sean Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 OK SEAN, I see what you mean lets say someone tampered with their Clock and cheated in your Union and was banned for say 10 years .....would you be happy that person could go to another Union up the Road and fly why not ? i be happy with that.
fifestay Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Agree with your posts Sean The whole episode is a shambles, obviously plenty of people getting all hot and sweaty in the world of politics, too many lookers in. Let the guys race their pigeons. Hmmmm so you would rather folk that broke the rules, cheated etc etc can do whatever they like and then fly elsewhere. Dont think anyone wants to stop folk racing pigeons ......all they have to do in the majority of cases is pay what they owe. Maybe in Eastriggs you didn't have a problem, we did being left with rings that were ordered rubbers etc etc and thats without the fees that weren't paid. All they needed to do was resign and cancel their order. Dummies and Spat. Even now just pay what they are owe ....no hassle But maybe your right Chris everybody be in .....no proper rules ...just a free for all and the sweaty farts sacked thats a great way forward
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 just incase it was diffrent But now iv sum it all up you'v only posted what you have to get to serten people on this forum SO WHAT THE BRITISH HOMING WORLD PRINTED TODAY WAS ONLY TO GET AT CERTAIN PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM DONT- THINK SO,
fifestay Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 The shu should get there own house in order and keep there own members happy. Why they cant leave the past in the past is beyond me. unless !!!! : : Here we Go !! eeh up and if you speak to Fanciers they will say so do the RPRA, NEHU etc etc. Listen Elanco in Fife all they have to do is pay what they are OWE
fifestay Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 just incase it was diffrent But now iv sum it all up you'v only posted what you have to get to serten people on this forum Why CANT ANYONE ON THIS BOARD DEBATE THE ISSUE WITHOUT RESORTING TO PERSONAL ATTACKS SAY YOUR PIECE BUT GIVE THE PERSONAL DIGS A MISS. LOOK SEAN IF THE PEOPLE HAD RESIGNED FROM THE SHU AND FED THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO HASSLE >>>BUT THE MINORITY THAT LEFT WANTED TO TRY AND TAKE TROPHIES BASKETS AND TRANSPORTER. SO THERE IS BAD BLOOD THAT I THOT WAS BEING RESOLVED BUT ??????
me Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 "Listen Elanco in Fife all they have to do is pay what they are OWE" how many people in fife do you want banned from the Rpra then Fifestay just as a matter of interest.
mickmcgrevy Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Hi all, Just read the relevent part of the article and the unions have asked for a list of the suspended members and also the reason for suspension. I think you may find that the issue will go a little deeper than first seeme apparent. Let Scotland do there own sorting, thats what I say, What cuased the split in the SHU? Mick
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 lETS BE HONEST THE SHU ONLY BANNED SOME GUYS BECAUSE THEY HAD THERE NOSES PUT OUT OF JOINT WHEN THEY LEFT TO JOIN THE RPRA. THE REASON I WAS HAULED UP WAS BECAUSE I PRINTED THE TRUTH ABOUT A BAD LIBERATION AND THATS WHY NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT BECAUSE IT WAS THE TRUTH
fifestay Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 "Listen Elanco in Fife all they have to do is pay what they are OWE" how many people in fife do you want banned from the Rpra then Fifestay just as a matter of interest. Or are you not bothering since you have flogged all your birds to make a few bob and moved on? Dont particularly want anyone banned.. folk essentially banned their self as you come from Fife you are more than aware of the hassle. So what you are saying is that some folk should pay their fees, others should not and we should all just say thats OK the Fife Fed took the hit in £££ and some and the remaining fanciers had to meet the additional costs when you all walked aware that is VERY fair...so dont bleat to me and if you think that is unfair you can lobby your new union to change it and represent you BUT the RPRA has AGREED TO LOOK AT THIS according to the BHW so blame the RPRA its YOUR UNION after all. Gonna walk out on them now there is always the NEHU Pay what your OWE no hassle or you can threaten to destroy all your Birds for you sensitivities to stay in tact or form your own union as before : :
me Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 "THE REASON I WAS HAULED UP WAS BECAUSE I PRINTED THE TRUTH ABOUT A BAD LIBERATION AND THATS WHY NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT BECAUSE IT WAS THE TRUTH " You had every right to say what you said Tammy but I repeat you have no idea how close you came to coming a cropper.
johno Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 the rpra run their own rules and constitution. the confederation has no power over the rules and constitutionof the rpra. the confederation has no authority over individual organisations. the shu should direct any question through cumbria region. by their actions they are trying to undermine the officials of the cumbria region. i do not understand how an organisation with a falling membership of around 3000 expects to control an organisation with a membership in excess of 40000. the members of the individual organisations have no vote on the confederation therefore the confederation has no rights over the membership. the rpra is a democratic organisation the confederation is not. the confederation has no appeal process so therefore is unconstitutional. this all smacks of once again a failed attempt at the tail wagging the dog. the shu are attempting to coerce the rpra into doing as they are told. the constitution and rules of the rpra will ensure that firness and openess will prevail. the confederation has no constitution therefore no rights and no say in how individual organisations operate. therein lies the democratic safeguard
me Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 "the shu are attempting to coerce the rpra into doing as they are told. the constitution and rules of the rpra will ensure that firness and openess will prevail." I sincerly hope you are right Johno but common sense and reasonableness are not exactly common among the people who run pigeons in Scotland at the moment.
THE FIFER Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 "the shu are attempting to coerce the rpra into doing as they are told. the constitution and rules of the rpra will ensure that firness and openess will prevail." I sincerly hope you are right Johno but common sense and reasonableness are not exactly common among the people who run pigeons in Scotland at the moment. i think this is an insult to the shu and scottish fanciers.
me Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 "i think this is an insult to the shu and scottish fanciers." - fifer and your point is caller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

me Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 "common sence are not exactly common among the people who run pigeons in scotland ???? who are u talking about ?????" well off the top of my head how many people with commom sense could lose about 5000 doos from not much more than 100 mile or how abouts only managing to get one back from a 150 mile race. never mind i"ts an ill wind" at least it will help the hawks through the winter!!
THE FIFER Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 ONCE MORE WHO LOST 5000 DOOS AND WHO ONLY GOT ONE BACK FROM 150MLS, I TAKE IT U ARE SAYING ENGLISH PIGEONS DO NOT GET LOST, ONLY SCOTTISH, :X :X :X :X :X :X

jimmy white Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 i think thats uncalled for ,, if its aggro and trouble you want pick on the ones that cause it , the fifer tries his best to be a peacemaker , and thats kinda hard nowadays.
