Guest strapper Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 what rule do you think hinders more than is helpful in your union rules. would you change the whole rule or just tweek it abit?
Guest strapper Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 which ones? union? i mean in general phil....who ever replies their union and a rule of their choice.
Guest spin cycle Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 perhaps make wingstamping 'vaccinated' compulsory and then let people race strays ( if passed fit by marking com. ) that way it would be possible to get strays on transporter...and hopefully home
pjc Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 anything can be stamped "vaccinated" but it doesn't mean it is but with many of the rules, like wingstamping its not the rule thats at fault its the fact the unions don't apply the rule!
Guest peter.j Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 everybody to take the birds the club on pre arranged days and have all birds jabbed and witnessed that way nobody could blag it then
Guest strapper Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 everybody to take the birds the club on pre arranged days and have all birds jabbed and witnessed that way nobody could blag it then peter ive said about this down our club, then nobody has the excuse for theirs not done.
pjc Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 everybody to take the birds the club on pre arranged days and have all birds jabbed and witnessed that way nobody could blag it then if you can get officials prepared to do the job! The officials only see the birds in the baskets, if they went to the lofts they could see if any were left in the loft not done!
just ask me Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 everybody to take the birds the club on pre arranged days and have all birds jabbed and witnessed that way nobody could blag it then i don't like taking my birds to the club to be jabbed enough stress already i make sure there are 3 members besides my self there at my lofts when being done
Guest peter.j Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 i agree paul i do mine so why should i bother if others are blagging it and my birds are going in the basket with them
Guest peter.j Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 if you can get officials prepared to do the job! The officials only see the birds in the baskets, if they went to the lofts they could see if any were left in the loft not done! yes but your ring numbers on the vaccine cert have to correspond with the birds in the baskets just like marking night sheets

chaz Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 I feel that all clubs should be open to anybody in the radius who applies and no voting people in, But I also feel that the number of "local" clubs a person is a member of should be limited ??)

pjc Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Why not go one step further, the RPRA/Union could split the country up into postcode areas, each area would be permitted 2 clubs, 1 north and 1 south, any member residing in that area could not be refused membership unless for serious missconduct. It would stop all the silly breakaway clubs and in the long run would reduce costs by more working together!

A great idea a shame the unions would never implement anything and make a decison that might benefit the grassroots sport
Guest Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Pigeon Racing as a Hobby/Sport is Fecked.............. NO ONE ABIDES BY THE RULES AND THOSE WHO MAKE THEM DON'T ENFORCE THEM. Simple statement but a fact, pick the bones out of it. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE
