Walter swanston Posted July 18, 2014 Report Posted July 18, 2014 I have just been informed by an established Unikon using member that he has bought himself a Unikon champ system.Am I correct in thinking that if I put the guys new champ in the club base unit, hook up the laptop and synchronise all his birds are transferred to his champ clock or is it more complicated.
hawked again Posted July 18, 2014 Report Posted July 18, 2014 No, you need to go to add clock then sync it. For my benifit now, is your system connected to your laptop via a USB port?
Walter swanston Posted July 18, 2014 Author Report Posted July 18, 2014 I have a cable which is a USB thing at one end for the laptop and becomes a small parallel port insert at the other to fix into the club base unit.
jake12 Posted July 18, 2014 Report Posted July 18, 2014 Walter, you should go to setup, then press backup. as said earlier go to members data then add clock, and all his info should be transfered to the new clock. I am sure all unikon clocks are compatible. If you take a backup, you can recall it if you have any problems.

Thanks Walter, I've managed to get the correct cable then. Do you still us the old fashioned parallel printer to print from your ringer or have you progressed to a modern USB type. I managed to get a parallel to USB cable but still am unable to print from the ringer to a USB printer. My laptop did download a driver from the internet but still would not recognise the ringer. I'm looking for help, any advice will be welcomed.
Walter swanston Posted July 18, 2014 Author Report Posted July 18, 2014 I am sorry the only advice I can give is that I use a Brother printer which comes with a parallel port for the Unikon base unit and a USB port for the laptop.
