The White Rapido Man Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 just a coulpe of pictures of a couple of my stock bods...All are decendants of a Rapido named superman...........I have bred out all of the color over the year..and now these birds throw pure white..time and time again. I have one baron hen that has a a tad of colour in her...but she throws white everytime..... They certainly make a fantstic spectical when all 40 are batched up and circling around the house.
Guest Bonzo Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 very nice birds m8 do they race well for you
The White Rapido Man Posted July 11, 2007 Author Report Posted July 11, 2007 I dont race these birds gents but do apply racing techniques to their training, breeding, and feeding, and gereneral upkeep.
The White Rapido Man Posted July 11, 2007 Author Report Posted July 11, 2007 I am toying with the idea of letting a neigbouring fancier have a crack with some of my YB's later.......but top be honest, I have 2 small kids, and wife....too many work commitments, and not enough hours to put in what I like to if I were racing. I set a company for my wife about 4 years ago porving white birds for wedding / funeal releases which has been very succesfull for her......I tend to the birds and she looks after the business side of things...........that way I get to the pleasure of my birds....and she gets the pleasure of making a quid or two out of them.... My birds have been trained within a 150 mile radius of my home town...and are back and in...... in no time.
johnnysfarm Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Great photo. I love to watch the white birds fly. I have about 80 in two different lofts.I always let them out at the same time. What a site to see. Good luck with you wedding business. Mine really slowed down the last year or so proabily because I don't but as much effort into getting jobes anymore. I race my whites and the guyes at the club used to make fun calling them hawk bait and different things but they shut up after a few time getting beat by them.Mine are not great birds but good enouth to win a race or two mow and then. Good luck.
