walterboswell59 Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 ive used them in the past tam but just as a tip bit the birds love them toin fact john feenie told me how to make a cake for the birds with 1lb groats 1lb hemp 1lb linseed mix in a bowl with 1 tbl spoon of wheat germ oil 1 tbl spoon of cod liver oil then bake in the oven for a half hour let it cool then crush with your hand the pigeons loved it but did not make them any faster lol

walterboswell59 Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Definately a mix for the distance men Walter well feenie could win from 60 to 600 miles pat he was also a barley feeder and was a great influance on me when i could get a few bannana rums into him and pick his brains lol like many good flyers he did not say much
Lennut Tar Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 Has anybody used the groats,and how would you feed them I love to feed groats etc, my birds have them from when there first in the nest. 5/10 % & all year round "Think of porridge" I would feed more of them type of thing, but they can be somewhat expensive to buy in my local area.Enjoy.
