The White Rapido Man Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 My favourite bird known as 'Old Faithfull' died this morning..... he'd notched up well over 60 release cemeronies throughout Lincolnshire for us over the last 4 years....... Sounds daft but we'll miss that bird, he was boss of the loft, and was always reliable......... and 60 releases in a 70 mile radius of our lofts is some going........... We think he had a a heart attack as there were visble signs of ailment...he was in peak condition, feeding his young-uns one minute....then flat on his back the next.......shame really. I've lost alot of pigeons over the years....but you always get one that leaves a special mark on you... here he is in a couple of photographs we had done for a press releases in the local paper a couple of years ago.
THE FIFER Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 yes I know how u feel. I still have PURDEY the white bird names by primary school kids before he went to the Queens golden Jubilee, I am lucky he is still here,
