Guest Silverwings Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 managed to get the lads camera today , pictures are three of my Maurice voets, one on the left is called cooler , cooler witpen in the centre and blue 20 on the right ,also a couple of photos to show the depth of colour in their eyes , i would like to hear from anyone with these pigeons their lines are of lichte bourges ,witslap ,blauwe schellens etc , two in the photos are just a few months old they realy develop quickly ,this is the first time they have been seen outside my own family ,

Guest Silverwings Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 the last three photos show, my staf van reet cock and his two dtrs 87 belg 6723401 "Vincent" he will be 19 years old this summer he may have been the first mealy van reet imported into the u.k hope he makes it to 20 ? never been vaccinated ,never seen an antibiotic ,and never a days illness sire and g sire of winners all over the uk, the other photo shows the silver wing flights in my pigeons , the reason for the name sliverwings ? the other photo is " Blue Turbo " my dutch stock hen from D.Sepers of Amsterdam her youngsters are outstanding .

Guest Silverwings Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 martin ,the old mealy looks well for 18 years ,his old leggs are going now, these old original staf van reets hold their age well ,bert hession had one about 19 years ,the old mealy still takes his box though .he filled one egg two years ago that was his last one ,those are his two daughters in the photo , he is a g,son of champion daniel 57 x first prizes and a g,son of tienecke on his dams side ,the absolute cream of the original staf van reets ....ray

Guest Silverwings Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 yes pete the old mealy died yesterday ,went to move him from the hens loft into a brick outbuilding ( warmer ) noticed his breathing was laboured, his heart gave out in the doorway ,at 19 he did not do to bad, at the last count we knew to more than 200 winners down from him all over the u.k got him from staf van reet as a late bred in 1987 direct son of the "Great Vale of 81" and a grandson of champion Daniel 57 x 1st those mealy hens in the photo are is dtrs .......ray
