its easier than you think  mate once you get the basics , just try all the tools and see what they do , what version you got,

the tools in the boxs on the left hand side.

for what were doing

cutting out the bird

moving it to other pic  with background

and putting in tex

, then u can start trying all the filters ,new layers , and fixing brightness and contrast , and colour.
