AlphaAl Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Hi lads just wondering do any of you put milton in the drinkers ? If so how much per liter
Guest bigda Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 millton in the water aint that good an idea mate i think fresh clean water or some pigeon teas would be better as you are only killing what ever good bugs your bird has if you use millton use it to wash your drinkers out with no put in it
Guest chad3646 Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 Hi lads just wondering do any of you put milton in the drinkers ? If so how much per liter little bleach is as good as anything much cheaper
Guest geordiejen Posted March 22, 2013 Report Posted March 22, 2013 naw guys this is not a good thing to do.i tried it out a couple of years ago and to some extent it did work against things like salmonella and it does reduce any bad bugs from being passed around in the drinkers.however i found a few birds came down with balloon throat.this was the only year i done the milton and previous to that the birds did have a problem with salmonella.if you would like to put something in the water then i suggest apple cider vinegar.the acid from this lines the pigeons bowel which makes the birds less susseptable to infection.only use milton or thin bleach to clean the drinkers out and make sure they get a good rinse.
