Come home from a weekend away to this young stray in my rear garden. Have contacted NWHU and left a message on their answer machine but havent had any reply as of yet. Just trying to get this young beauty back home where they belong :)

ok have traced the owners but now have a problem ... the owners address that I was given is just 5 mins walk from mine so off i troddled with bird in tow to arrive at the address and the house owner claiming she knows nothing of the bird and isnt hers. She also said that she has recently moved there. I've contacted NWHU again informing them of this and am now trying to get in contact with locals whom i knew as a nipper that used to keep pigeons as its been in the box now for over 24 hours. If anyone has any details for club in the Dagenham Essex area that they could pass on that would be great. This little youngster needs to be back where they belong.

Sharyn, Tony C lives in Dagenham Essex, However I race in East London in Beckton, but live in Dagenham in a Flat of Marstons road, near morrisons if I can be of any help. Did they inform you of the name of who the bird belonged to?

Terry at NWHU only has a name and address no contact number. The address is a few mins walk from me so I canonly assume the bird has come home to find the owners have moved. I just dont have the facilities to hold him/and I dont like them being in the box cramped up :(. Bird is alot more lively now too, I can only assume due to food and water and a nice warm bed :). First few poo's were a little watery but now have firmed up as they should be. I would normally have rereleased it now to find their own way home but thats just not an option now. I have been trying to contact a man who lived int he same banjo as I did many years ago as he kept pigeons and from the info i have still does but havent had much joy there. His name is Steve Vialls. The birds owner is a polish name. Im hoping someone local has a quaritine area and can take him/her untill contact with the owner has been made.
