sapper756
HI EVERYONE, I WAS TOLD TODAY THAT PEOPLE CAN STILL SEND BIRDS IN THEIR CLUB EVEN IF THEY HAVE Y/B SICKNESS. PERSONALLY I CANT SEE THIS HAPPENING BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE KNOWS FOR CERTAIN BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO PUT MY BIRDS IN AND RISKING CATCHING IT. MANY THANKS FOR ANY INFO any fancier with a conscience and consideration for other birds, would not enter any bird suffering from YBS, as a member of my clubs basket committee, I would refuse to put a bird through that I felt was in poor health or a threat to other birds, and I certainly would not want my healthy birds mixing with birds "known" to have YBS. It is unfortunate that birds may have early stage YBS without visible symptoms to the owner.JMO
blackdog
the people that send birds in there club that have ybs are not pigeon men plus they will only lose them and put others at risk, if in doubt, leave out mate, expletive remove

Guest geordiejen
whats the point in sending bird to race if they are sick, why would any commitee say this is ok?
Guest Owen
Well you would not get away with sending a sick bird in my Club because it would be rejected. We do not allow pigeons with corn in their crops to go because they will end up throwing up and other birds will eat it. This sort of thing should be the case in all Clubs to help to protect decent Fanciers from problems imposed on them by the fools and idiots that to ignorant to understand how to behave.
