just ask me Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 reading about lam mcalls birds of Ireland he switched his family of birds from north road racing into ireland from such race points as thruso etc in scotland to racing from france winning many top prizes then again he is a top distance fancier with birds that he has cultivated over the years to handle anything
Wiley Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 Bern I cannot really comment but the people who I e spoke to who done it i believe they've struggled with loosing birds inland and had better return on the channel surprisingly. I would love to give the south a whirl if there was a localish club and fed, but at the moment traveling 15 miles to Mark pigeons is not for me. Micky Connolly fellow club member sent his you g birds north all year, his brother Jimmy Connolly who lives in Kent and raced south bet he couldn't race south, Micky joined an organisation I cannot remember which one and sent 5 to the Guernsey yb national got all 5 and was in the top hundred in the national beating his brother by over an hour I believe, also got 100% returns. Good few years back tho.

Ryan My fed raced at newark this weekend with only 395 birds: i can't see the combine this weekend getting many more, Thats why its in my mind to change south, i think north road is dying in our area which is a shame:. I remember winning the London NR Fed with almost 7,000 birds, the East London with almost 4,000 The North London with 3,000 plus birds, the south thames which i'm in now 2,500 Now most of these fed run with less than a 1,000 birds, even the combines we used to get 4,500 at thurso 7,500 stonehaven and 11,000 at berwick in the london. These days have long gone now which is sad:, And the trouble with where you live Ryan is they move down to Essex and turn South lol
