FoxesFan4Ever Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 Hi all, I have been looking at an old thread recently re: this netting. I checked it out on ebay and it looks ok but my question is does it let enough light through? Another question is can I buy this from B&Q and such places. Thanks for any and all replies
Guest stb- Posted July 5, 2012 Report Posted July 5, 2012 yes lets plenty light in helps deflect a big of rain but not driving rain , have not seen it in B@Q though
Guest IB Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 Got it on-line, a lot cheaper and wider (6m?) than contratex and comes in various colours. I chose white and while it does cut out some light, it's not that dark inside - but when direct sunlight hits, it illuminates the interior like a light bulb has been switched on. Anything with holes in it will let rain through and this is no different. It fairly cuts down strong drafts entering the loft during windy weather. And the birds feel more secure behind it than they did being behind open wire mesh - covered an aviary front with it, the birds used to leave it when folk were in garden, or they spotted something flying over - they don't budge now.
dwh Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 we use it on our loft door during the day best way is if you have any m8's in the building trade
