Quest/Equest Wormer -Is It The Same

hi,i was advised to buy some quest horse wormer to treat quill mites but when i went to the corn shop they only had equest oral gel(made by pfizer)i was told that quest/equest is the same product but thought i had better check before i use it on my birds,has anyone on pb used equest to treat their birds and if so can you help me out regarding the dosage? it states on package that each 12.2g syringe contains 230.8mg of moxidectin,it also contains benzyl alcohol and disodium edetate as preservatives! can anyone enlighten me?any help appreciated atb kev
