cochise Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Hi Guys. I have a cock about 2 years old. My problem is he is mounting the hen but can't finish the job, he can't locate the hen's organ using his tail. This problem started last october but before that he mates normally and produces good offsprings. can't get rid of him coz he is one of my prized cocks. Please help me on how to correct this problem. Thank you.
Wiley Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Maybe try triming his vent and his hens, if his a racer I wouldn't do this. Other then that I am stumped
just ask me Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 new one on me if it is with a racer so young
cochise Posted February 3, 2012 Author Report Posted February 3, 2012 Maybe try triming his vent and his hens, if his a racer I wouldn't do this. Other then that I am stumped I did trimmed his vent and the two hens i paired with him but to no avail. it's taking him too long trying making the hens stand up. Is there anyone here had the same problem? am thinking supplements/vitamins as a solution. Appreciate it Wiley.
Wiley Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 Supplements or vitamins aren't going to make him tread unfortunately mate he has a sex drive otherwise he wouldn't be jumping on the hens back
Guest IB Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 I wouldn't trim feathers there - it's said there are guide feathers there to help the birds mate properly. Think patience may be the only thing that's needed here. I'd just leave them to get on with it. Sooner or later they will do what comes natural.
Guest geordiejen Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 maybe he is shy and doesnt want an audience just put him in a pen with the hen and leave them to get on with it.their isnt reall an answer to this problem mate.
