Wiley Posted February 2, 2012 Author Report Posted February 2, 2012 will this feed be fed all week mate also on return from races i just give my cocks a light feed let them get a drink let them meet there hen then a hour or two later after all has calmed down i let them tuck in will a bird burn off that much muscle in a easy race that it needs 100% maples All athletes have to eat a high protein diet after any physical exercise, muscle fibres get torn and need to be repaired. On the north road which I race sprint racing isn't an easy task as the majority of weeks our birds face a nose wind, which will take more effort then a tail wind race, hence the feeding of maples and tic beans.
Guest strapper Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 myself i use a high protein mixture all week with no breakdown. the mixture is from a farm ...which is already pre mixed.its about £8.60 for a 25kg bag. i must admit i do like a small seed mixture..and would try racing on it if i could afford the corn .
