john cumming Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 myself and my mate jim had our birds out at the same time today he stays just a few doors along the road, the birds had just landed when from no where the sparrow hawk appeared and the birds took off in all directions, the crows & seagulls were going daft to, eventually when the birds settled got them in he was one bird short, hoping that the bird had just taken cover nearby!!! well not to be one of our neighbours appeared at the door carrying a 4 year old blue cheq cock, dead of course, neighbour said the bird flew straight into his shed breaking its neck, even when the raptor doesnt make a kill the birds still take a hammering with shear terror causing them to fly wrecklessly causing a fatal collision with the shed, what chance do the poor birds have i ask??? john :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:
