Guest j v ward Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 witch is the best wormer to use and who sells it
Guest IB Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I think it depends on what was found in the dropping sample. I've had hairworm twice, diagnosed by 2 different vets. & 2 different meds. 1 was a Harkers over-the-counter med in water for 3 days, the other POM med in water for 1 day.
Guest IB Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 what worked best ?? Well the first vet did not tell me to take another droppings test after treatment finished. The second did, and I got a conclusive 'all clear' from that. The last 2 years have also been a conclusive 'all clear' on the first test, so for me what worked best was the procedure 'test, treat, test again' - procedure rather than medication. But I also think one day with meds in the drinker must be far better from the fanciers' handiness and pigeons' welfare viewpoints, rather than over three days.
