Guest VADER Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Hi guys i wonder if any of u could help.ive been reading several loft reports in the bhw about fanciers give there birds canker treatment when birds are sitting.ive bought some harkanker but the dosage says to administer for several days.my birds look on top form with no signs of canker.do i have to do for the time stated or just a single dose as the instructions describe if u have a outbreak.
alex wight Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 Not a fan of giving medication just for giving it, even if its classed as a pre treatment. I only treat if the bird shows signs of a specific problem, be it canker, cocci ect. everyone to their own though.
quackie Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 if your birds are looking well then leave alone or you could do more harm you could always have your birds tested in the long run it works out cheaper and you then know if and what to treat for jmo
WulDon Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 dont be fooled by birds looking good these days, there could be something lurking unknown... safer to get them tested then treat from there if required...
