I thought,perhaps optimistically, I would try open hole this winter.Cocks and hens on alternate days for baths bit of exercise etc.All went well until today two successive sparrowhawk attacks on the hens this morning fortunately no damage done I was able to chase the hawk away so I guess it is back to confinement in the loft till March 2012.

Sign of the times , an open loft is like opening a all you can eat dinner in your garden , I recommend either getting a few canaries or rollers to look at get a good camera as bops like these :)

IT HAPPENS THAT QUICK . ALL WAYS SEEM TO HAPPEN TO ME WHEN THEY HAVE A BATH .LAST ATTACK THEY WERE JUST OUT THE BATH LYING ALL OVER GARDEN WHEN THE HAWK WENT INTO THEM CHASE ONE RIGHT INTO THE LOFT I CLOSED THE LOFT DOOR AND SCARED IT LAST I'LL BE SEEING OF THAT ONE.// :emoticon-0157-sun::music:

Am I missing something here.Are you advising me to get a few rollers and canaries and take pictures of the hawk eating them

 

No he means to get them to attract the bops to them to your garden away from your pigeons, so that u can admire these beautiful birds of prey not doing damage. and then take a few shots at them.........with your camera off course.
