me personaly would wait till threw molt got good body of feathers on um to protect um from the eliments and when you start training them pick your days that cold winter wind takes a hell of a lot out of bird give them plenty baths and bit oil seed in there mix iver hemp or linseed small amounts they be looking grand in no time best look with them all best.

Chances are that your late breds will not complete the wing moult, depending on when they were bred, they could hold on to last 3 or 4 primaries (nest flights). Real problems come when they are yearlings, because they will start a normal wing moult, but after a while, they throw one flight plus one nest flight, so will have big gaps in each wing. Can't really be raced like that.
