Guest geordiejen Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 hi lads and lassies i was wondering if anyone or if theirs a sticky somewhere with advice on which type of seed used throughout the year.at the moment my birds(fancy pigeons)are putting on a little too much weight.they dont get exersised like racers do and i need to bring the weight down a touch to get them into show condition.i know that totally changing the feed can be a bad thing, tried depuritive last year and they through it all ovewr the floor.i use a breed and wean but its full of large beans which i think is putting on the weight.was thinking of maybe using 3/4 of breed and wean and mixing something else through it.
greenlands Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Barley,if they throw it on the floor tell them to pick it up and close the door.If it's still there in the morning top the water up give them some grit and close the door again.Hunger's a great leveler but they won't hunger mate they'll eat it.
