I notice the more the young get out the cleaner there feet seam to be i can only assume its with them waddling on the grass that cleans them :) oh how its funny watching them waddle around the grass :emoticon-0136-giggle:

They are maybe too young yet to do the full preening thing? I notice that my old birds after taking oil from the preen gland seem to wipe 'excess' off one side of their beak using one foot. After they've done preening their feathers, they then do their feet.
